Introduction

 SAFT2011 Discussion Meeting

October 24-25, 2011, Pau, France

SAFT2011 is now over

Goal of the meeting:

There is a strong industrial need, in particular in the petroleum engineering community, to improve the representation of thermophysical properties of dense fluids using an up-to-date model. SAFT approaches are among the most promising molecular based equations of state to reach such a goal.
So, following the success of SAFT2010 (Barcelona), a SAFT2011 discussion meeting, supported by TOTAL, has been envisaged and will take place in Pau, France. Apart from the usual possibility for the SAFT related community to present recent works through posters,  one goal of this SAFT2011 meeting is to gather the SAFT related community and industrials in order to discuss about specific petroleum engineering challenges that could be tackled using SAFT like approaches. SAFT2011 will consist in (see Program section):

  • Poster sessions open to contributors

  • A plenary lecture given by Pr. W. Chapman

  • Three workshops chaired by academic and industry representatives

Location of the meeting:

This meeting will take place in the Scientific and Technical Centre of TOTAL in Pau (France) on October 24 and 25, 2011.
